Newton’s Place

The Newton’s Place project will provide an accessible community building, celebrating the heritage of the town and its people restoring the former St Leonard’s Church in Wolborough St, Newton Abbot, and creating a purpose-built museum and community space bursting with vibrant tales from the past.

The Newton’s Place Project is currently being considered by the Heritage Lottery Fund for grant support to the value of £900,000.

This is an imaginative and unique project for the conversion of the grade II listed, but redundant St Leonard’s which will be a valuable community facility for Newton Abbot and will enhance the town and its area.
