Newton Abbot 2017 Election Business Husting

30th May 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

With the election only 2 weeks away, here at Newton Abbot Chamber of Commerce, we think it is vital to ensure the business community here in Newton Abbot remain well informed. To that end, we have arranged an opportunity to directly question the Party Candidates, we will host the ‘Business Husting’ on the evening of the 30th May at South Devon UTC.

This will be an opportunity to hear first-hand what the party nominees for the region will be committing too in supporting the business community, the local economy and Brexit. Furthermore, and more importantly, it will also allow the business community to question, quiz and enquire in direct reference to what impacts our business community, the local economy and Brexit, which are likely to among some of the issues discussed.

As Chairman of your Chamber of Commerce, I encourage you to spare a couple of hours on the evening of the 30th and raise the issues which you feel need to be raised. Let’s face it Business and the economy plays a pivotal role in any election, so with the additional opportunities and impact of Brexit there is even greater need for our collective voice, as a business community, to be heard.

Please register today and reserve your seat. I would request you send me your questions (chairman@newtonabbotchamber.co.uk) to prepare for the evening allowing the opportunity to cover as much ground as we can. If you submit a question I will on the evening ask you to present it, unless you would rather it be asked for you. We will be firmly focused on Business, the economy and Brexit for this Business Husting.

Just some of the issues we may need to discuss: Local Business Development Plans, Apprenticeship, Cyber Security, Business Rates, Digitisation of HMRC, Tax, BREXIT, Exporting, Transportation Infrastructure (regionally), Business Support, New Business, Banking and Bank Branch Closures, Data Protection, Health & Saftey, Employee Engagement, Crime, Budget Commitments, Business Intelligence, Access to Finance, Broadband, Climate Change and Sustainable Business, Business Utilities, The Rural Economy, Skilled Workforce, Town Centre and many more local and national.
There will be refreshments for the evening so bring along a little change.

Myself and the team at the Chamber very much look forward to seeing you at the Newton Abbot 2017 Business Husting.
