2024 AGM

Last night, on May 13th, the Newton Abbot Chamber of Commerce held its highly anticipated Annual General Meeting, and what a night it was! We’re thrilled to share some exciting updates and highlights from the event.

First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mark Amphlett, who was voted in as the new Chair of the Chamber. Mark’s dedication and vision will undoubtedly lead us to new heights, and we’re excited for the journey ahead under his leadership. Joining Mark in the executive team is Tracey Clay, who was elected as Vice Chair. Together, they form a dynamic duo ready to steer our Chamber towards success.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there! We’re delighted to welcome three new members to our executive committee: Simon Steer, Samantha Allnutt and Tim Burling. Their expertise and enthusiasm will enrich our discussions and initiatives, propelling us towards our collective goals.

Of course, no AGM is complete without some delicious refreshments, and we were fortunate to have sandwiches provided by our charity of the year, No Limits Cafe. Their support and partnership mean the world to us, and we’re grateful for their contribution to the evening’s festivities.

Additionally, we were honored to host visitors from the Newton Abbot Rotary Club, further strengthening our ties with the local community and fostering collaboration across organizations.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to our previous Chair, Nicki Bidgood, for all of her hard work over the last few years and good luck with everything in the future!

Overall, the 2024 AGM was a resounding success, filled with camaraderie, excitement, and a shared commitment to the prosperity of our business community. We’re energised and inspired by the outcomes of the meeting and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead for the Newton Abbot Chamber of Commerce.

Here’s to a bright future together!
