The Newton Abbot and District Civic Society have submitted an expression of interest to acquire the property.
It will form a charity to run it. The charity will need a number of trustees with relevant knowledge etc.
The Trust recognises that the successful acquisition and stewardship of Forde House will require a broad range of expertise. Accordingly, trustee recruitment is being undertaken with the objective of assembling a balanced board possessing the skills, experience and local knowledge necessary to guide the project through acquisition, restoration and long-term operation.

Trustees able to provide oversight of:

Trustees or advisers with knowledge of:

Fundraising and Development
Individuals experienced in:
- Grant applications
- Trust and foundation fundraising
- Corporate sponsorship
- Major donor development
- Community fundraising
Commercial and Business Operations
Trustees capable of advising on:

- Property utilisation
