Teignbridge businesses keen to play their part in tackling climate change can apply for decarbonisation grants to help them reduce emissions and lower energy costs within their workplaces.
The money can be used to pay for specialist advice or equipment but must be spent in Teignbridge before 31 March 2023.
The £165,000 allocated for this financial year for Green Business Grant funding is part of a £1.6m allocation from the Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) which runs until March 2025 and will support five projects, including green business grants.
Companies can apply for grants ranging from £3,000 – £25,000 to pay for example for improvements such as LED lighting, low energy heating systems, heat pumps, double/triple glazed windows and doors or thermal insulations.
Applications for grant funding – which will cover 80% of the cost for businesses and 100% for charities and not for profit organisations and be paid in arrears – must be made via this web page teignbridge.gov.uk/greenbusinessgrant.
